Mr. Shea Marshall is a natural. Originally from McMurray, PA (outside of Pittsburgh), Shea Marshall has been playing music since age 5, and has been performing since he was 12. His primary instruments are Saxophone and Hammond Organ, but he has been known to perform on pretty much anything. He has come to his style through the study of jazz music and through extensive work on the most diverse and disparate of stages. This broad array of performance experiences has shaped him into a musician who is well known for his uniquely universal approach to sound.
Shea’s main instruments with the Sugar Thieves are keyboards and sax, but he has been known to bring all sorts of other instruments and other noisy things to the stage with him, at times even playing 2 or 3 saxophones at once. Shea Marshall plays a Theo Wanne Durga 10 tenor mouthpiece. Also, he built this website and his own at Mr. Shea Marshall dot com.
